Erin Schurr

Head Coach Erin Schurr finished the 2023 season leading the Mavericks to a 9-5 overall record and 3-4 Empire 8 conference record. Schurr had four players named to the 2023 Empire 8 All-Conference team as the Mavs narrowly missed a spot in the postseason. This season, Schurr coached two players to 100 career goals with another earning 100 career assists as the Mavs had multiple players crack NCAA DIII Top-10 individual statistics.

In 2022, the Mavericks finished with a 9-8 record with a 4-2 United East Conference record. Schurr led the Mavs down the stretch winning seven-straight games to advance to the United East Championship game against St. Mary's College of Maryland. Schurr landed five players on United East All-Conference Teams including the Rookie of the Year for the conference.

The Mavs earned their eighth straight trip to the NEAC postseason under Schurr's tutelage, and won the first ever game on the Mavericks new field at Medaille Sports Complex, an 8-7 win over Washington & Jefferson in 2019. The Mavs posted an 8-10 record going 4-5 in NEAC play.

Schurr came to Agassiz Circle after being the Head Coach for the SUNY Poly Wildcats from 2012-2017. During her four year stint with SUNY Poly, Schurr took the Wildcats to unprecedented heights. She compiled a 35-24 overall record, helping 20 student-athletes earn All-Conference honors. She also coached the 2015 NEAC Defensive Player of the Year, as well as the 2016 and 2017 NEAC Offensive Player of the Year.

In 2016 Schurr lead SUNY Poly to the greatest season in program history, going 13-4 and 8-1 in the NEAC en route to their first ever NEAC Championship. Wins over Morrisville State and Cazenovia in the NEAC Tournament earned Schurr and the Wildcats a berth into the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history and earning her the 2016 NEAC Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year.

Schurr was also the Women's Soccer Coach during her time at SUNY Poly, compiling a 54-42-8 record while boasting 16 All-Conference players and the 2015 NEAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Before her coaching days, Schurr was a member of the Women's Lacrosse team as a student-athlete at Fredonia from 2003-2007. As a player she racked up 46 goals, 21 assists, 69 points, 92 ground balls, caused 52 turnovers, and earned 49 draw controls.

Schurr graduated from Fredonia in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Sport Management and followed that up with a Masters Degree in 2015 from Concordia University-Irvine in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
