Marisa Ongaro

Marisa (DeAngelis) Ongaro enters her sixth season as head women's lacrosse coach at Holy Family. She became the Tigers’ sixth head coach in program history on June 15, 2017.

HFU had a historic season on its new turf field in 2022, hosting the program’s first playoff game after finishing the season 8-9 and fourth place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).

The Tigers entered the 2020 season with their largest recruiting class since the inaugural 2009 season, as Ongaro and her staff welcomed seven newcomers to the mix. Unfortunately, the 2020 season was cut short to three games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ongaro came to Holy Family after spending two seasons at Delaware Valley University, where she served as assistant coach. While a member of the Aggies’ staff, she was the head recruiting coordinator and also prepared and implemented practice plans.

Ongaro was a four-year defensive starter for Kean University, serving as the team captain during her senior season in 2015. She earned first-team all-conference honors from both the New Jersey Athletic Conference and Skyline Conference her freshman season, and she was a three-time selection to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaching Association’s (IWLCA) Academic Honor team.

Ongaro is also the regional director for Ultimate Lacrosse in New Jersey and has been a part of Ultimate since 2013.

She graduated from Kean in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, before finishing her MBA in General Business at Delaware Valley University in 2017.

Ongaro currently resides in Hamilton, N.J. with her husband, David, and son, Rocco.

Brittany Ballack

Brittany Ballack will enter her fifth season as a member of the Holy Family women's lacrosse coaching staff in 2023.

The Tigers had a historic season on their new turf field in 2022, hosting the program’s first playoff game after finishing the season 8-9 and fourth place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).

Ballack joined HFU after an impressive four-year playing career at Kean University, where she was a three-time All-NJAC First Team honoree and capped her career with IWLCA All-Region Second Team honors as a senior.

She finished her career with 102 goals, 23 assists and 125 points in 68 games, while also totaling 93 ground balls and 36 caused turnovers.

Off the field, Ballack was honored for her academic success as she garnered both NJAC All-Academic and IWLCA Academic recognition.

She graduated from Kean in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, while minoring in health education.

Ballack has spent the past four years teaching high school and middle school level players as head coach for Ultimate Goal Lacrosse, where she was recently promoted to administrative coordinator for New Jersey.

The site was a great resource to sort colleges by my selection criteria, connect with coaches and be a repository for all of my communications. Overall, the best site that I used in my college soccer search.
